How focusing on the mobile site makes everything you do better

Design your site for the mobile experience first to clearly identify priorities and focus, which can then extend and be expressed on other platforms, such as the desktop site.

Your mobile site isn’t your edge case — the version of your site that only some people see. It should actually be the core representation of your site and what you truly value. When forced to shed extraneous content, as mobile sites do, your priorities become clearer and your focus tighter. For that reason, designing your site around mobile, rather than around the desktop experience, allows those priorities to be clearly communicated to the user across platforms.
