Lessons learned from a mobile-first newsroom
Mike Reilley, MediaShift,To make your newsroom mobile savvy, you need to do more than make an announcement. You need to take several steps to set your course and find success. Among them:
- Put a few people in charge and be transparent about their process.
- Embrace and share analytics so you and others in the newsroom can learn what works and what doesn’t.
- As you learn, establish guidelines — but be willing to update them.
- And, most important of all, keep innovating and experimenting. The technology isn’t fixed; it keeps changing and you need to keep changing with it.
