Venezuelan digital news organizations pool investigative resources

Three Venezuelan digital news outlets have launched a platform to work on investigations. This will allow them to pool resources and combat censorship.

Three digital media outlets in Venezuela, El Pitazo, Tal Cual and Runrun.es, are growing their collaborative journalism initiative called Alianza Rebelde Investiga (ARI, or Rebel Alliance Investigates) to pool their investigative resources and expand on their existing collaboration around political coverage.

The organizations, which have already been collaborating since 2017 in political coverage, will now join forces in deciding lines of investigative coverage and will pool journalistic resources to execute them. In order to add structure in their collaborations, they will develop a process to define roles and responsibilities so the work is distributed equitable among the team members and organizations.

Their goal is to publish at least one joint investigative report per month
