WhatsApp Business provides a way to collect fact-checking items
Daniel FUnke, Poynter,The new Brazilian fact-checking group Comprova is using WhatsApp’s Business API to collect items to fact-checking items.
The API allows “the ability to have multiple users operate the same account at the same time. Without it, fact-checkers can only have two people run a single WhatsApp account at the same time — one on a smartphone and one on a computer.”
Many other countries use Whatsapp to communicate and WhatsApp’s one-to-one messaging has been hard for factcheckers to combat.
