Teaching newsrooms to track impact

As more organizations look at digital subscriptions and memberships, impact metrics have become more relevant. So, how can we help journalists track them?

For many newsrooms, tracking analytics has become a useful tool to keep tabs on their audience’s interests, the reach of a story or what the conversation is around certain topics. As more organizations look at digital subscriptions, membership and donation models, tracking impact has become more relevant.

Measuring and publicizing the impact a news organization has in a community or on the issues it covers helps build trust and connect potential subscribers and donor to the journalistic mission.
